While the majority of superheros in comics have been men their have also been some very strong and powerful women characters in comics.
Few of them grown very popular while some of them unfortunately weren't that interesting so they couldn't last long.
But after the success of wonder women both comic companies(marvel and dc) have increasingly created new female characters to be shown in comics and their success has proved that women can do anything and women can be anything including super women.
And here are those amazing She-ros that are more popular than some of the male super heros:
(1) HARLEY QUINN
Harley quinzell, A Physiologist who was supposed to treat The Joker in Arkham Asylum falls in love with her and just wanted to be his lover but Joker can't go back to being Sane so the only way they can be together is if she goes insane too.
So she did, she decided to go crazy for love the saying that 'People do stupid things in love' could not be more right.
Harley quin is not technically a superhero in fact she was actually suppose to be a villain and not even that actually she was just suppose to be side kick and love interest of The Joker and at some point she would've been out of the comic world but due to her popularity increase Creators couldn't even think about ignoring her and soon she became one of the most popular anti-hero in DC comics.
Look at that a female side kick of a villain becomes one of the most popular anti-hero of all time.
That's inspiring.

Harley quinn doesn't actually have any superpower although she is a trained gymnast and great fighting techniques developed by years of criminal undertaking.

Jennifer Walters a cousin of Dr. Bruce Banner was in emergency condition and was in dire need of a blood transfer immediately. So Bruce banner having no other choices decideds to give his blood to her cousin and due to his blood jennifer gets the milder hulk like powers while also retaining his personality and intelligence unfortunately later her largely green like body becomes permanent and she becomes the She-Hulk.
ABILITIES :
She-Hulk has abilities like super strength, speed, and regeneration which led to her being a member of The AVENGERS, Fantastic Four and S.H.E.I.L.D.

In the MCU her origin story has not been told yet although in the comics it's a little complicated to explain but in simple words she was an Russian Spy who was supposed to use his spying skills on Tony Stark to get high secret information for Russian intelligence but due to his love for Hawk eye she realises that she is on the wrong side and Russians has used her as a weapon against S.H.E.I.L.D. so she turns against them and joins the S.H.E.I.L.D and later Becomes an Avengers.

Although the name Ms.Marvel wasn't a problem with the character but when DC launched a New character called Captain Marvel who was completely Different from the marvels version of Captain Marvel but Marvel didn't wanted to lose the name so they did their best to make sure that it didn't
happen.
But it's highly likely that she would have the exact superpowers in the new Captain Marvel Movie which is set to release in 2019.
